Hong Kong
Part of China since 1997, Hong Kong remains as exciting as it always has been and offers visitors some great sights along with an excellent dining scene and a vibrant nightlife. Hong Kong is your classic 'east meets west' destination, is often seen as the 'Gateway to China' and is definitely one of the World's most vibrant cities.
Hong Kong is a brilliant destination for all of Incentive Travel Groups, s and Conferences, offers great Spouse programmes as well as the opportunity for a twin centre itinerary including Beijing or Shanghai. Extensions throughout all of China can easily be offered.

Sightseeing

Hong Kong Island - a day visiting the Peak, Aberdeen and Stanley with rides on the Star Ferry and Peak Tram is an absolute MUST when visiting Hong Kong. A night time visit to the Peak to see Hong Kong's famous skyline is also a great idea.

Kowloon - more 'Chinese' than Hong Kong Island offers some superb markets and a visit here lets one see real life in Hong Kong. This is also a great part of town for a treasure hunt and who can miss the bright lights of Nathan Road?
The New Territories - days of hiking, visiting remote villages and beaches are all possible and in the northern New Territories, village life continues relatively unchanged. Hong Kong's Islands - there are 260 islands forming Hong Kong and a day to Lantau, home to the Big Buddha, Tai O Fishing Village and stunning beaches is great fun as are the seafood restaurants on Lamma Island

Macau & Shenzhen
- both cities are within 1 hour of Hong Kong and offer stark contrasts. Macau revels in its Portuguese heritage and offers a delightful day with great food, wine and even a flutter at its casinos. Shenzhen is modern and brash and offers some of the areas' best shopping with excellent prices, though a Chinese visa is required for a visit here.

Fun Activities
We are able to offer a number of exiting and very Chinese style events in Hong Kong and those which we find work particularly well are:

A Helicopter Ride is a great way to truly see Hong Kong and the stunning city that Eastern Journeys calls home. Day and Evening trips are offered.

Tai Chi - an ancient art form to encourage the body's vital energy flows to be in alignment and a useful teaching tool to encourage balance and harmony.
Dumpling & Noodle making - try your hand at making these Chinese delicacies or even go for a full-on cooking lesson.

A
Day at the Beach - Hong Kong has some excellent beaches and we can easily offer a Beach Day with a BBQ lunch.

Other Activities

Hong Kong has numerous other activities that are highly recommended and include Boat trips, sessions on Tea Tasting, Cooking Lessons, Introductions to Chinese Traditional Medicine, Calligraphy, Chinese Antiques and Art, as well as some of the world's best Shopping and a vibrant Nightlife.

Visiting Hong Kong

Spring and Autumn are the best times to visit Hong Kong as summer is hot & wet and the winter months can be chilly. However Hong Kong is a great destination at any time of year and Conferences work year-round

Hotels

In Hong Kong we recommend all of the Peninsula, Shangri-la, Intercontinental, Grand Hyatt, Mandarin, Excelsior, Langham and Marco Polo Hotels, though we note Hong Kong hotels run at nearly 100% occupancy most nights.

Dining and Venues
Eastern Journeys works with an extensive list of city venues and whether it's for a simple picnic lunch, sumptuous cocktail party, cutting edge fashion show or elaborate dinner we can come up with the space that is just suited to you and your Event.

The Garden Suite at the Peninsula Hotel is a stunning venue for up to 48 and one of the best places in Hong Kong to impress your Guests. Take a Cocktail Cruise on Dukling, the 'Junk' used in Hong Kong's advertising. Certainly a great way to experience Hong Kong.
Lamma's Seafood Restaurants offer a fun packed night out and Lamma is reached by chartered boat, on which we serve Cocktails The Peak offers two great venues, ideally suited for Dinner. Café Deco & The Peak Lookout are both great options with very different atmospheres.

The China Club offers sumptuous Chinese dining amongst antiques and modern Chinese art that create its very 'avant garde' atmosphere. As well as for Dinner it's great for Cocktail parties as well.

A Night at the Races - Horse Racing evokes passion in Hong Kong and Wednesday night is race night at the famous Happy Valley Track. Cocktails and Dinner in a Private Box are suggested.

Aqua and Hutong Restaurants offer magnificent view over Hong Kong Island as well as great food in a stunning atmosphere.

A Dim Sum restaurant for lunch has to be part of the programme. These savoury delicacies are a staple of eth Hong Kong diet.

Yellow Door Kitchen
is a 'private restaurant' where the Owner cooks whatever looks the freshest and tastiest in the market that day.

The Verandah at Repulse Bay - a wonderful restaurant overlooking Repulse Bay and which has a lawn for larger events.

Lan Kwai Fong
, the hub of Hong Kong's bars and nightlife offers multiple dining options with some great restaurants.

Hotels and Clubs also offer excellent function rooms for various events and obviously the catering will be of the highest standards.

We are delighted to offer a number of themes for evening events and at many of the venues we are able to provide numerous forms of entertainment ranging from the most classical of Chinese art forms such as Beijing Opera and Chinese music ensembles through to Jazz, Disco or whatever else you have in mind.

We can also stage Fashion Shows and arrange various alternative musical and entertainment options so as to fit with the theme of the Event. We also work with various local and regional production companies for more elaborate events.
