Every tour in Hong Kong is accompanied by one of our highly experienced local staff and can be operated either by private limousine or where guests have a lower budget, by a mix of public transport and taxi's.
The following are just some ideas as we tailor each excursion to meet your specific requirements. |
Hong Kong Island
Today you will start your day of exploration on Hong Kong Island. The tour stops at the fabled The Peak which overlooks the city's famous skyline, Victoria Harbour and the romantic South China Sea. Visit Aberdeen Typhoon Shelter and watch the number of floating vessels blobbing in the water passing by and get a fascinating close-up look at the local fisherfolk and their boat community. Enjoy the scenic coastal beauty of Deep Water Bay and Repulse Bay before heading out to Stanley. Stanley Market remains one of Hong Kong's most popular spots, drawing thousands of visitors on weekends along with locals in search of a bargain. Stanley also has some delightful restaurants and bars. Also on Hong Kong Island are fascinating traditional markets, atmospheric temples and some of the world's best shopping and restaurants. Hong Kong Island has great nightlife and is also home to the Happy Valley race course, which comes to life most Wednesday nights. |
Kowloon
Today take the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour to Tsim Sha Tsui and walk along the Avenue of Stars and take in some breathtaking views over Hong Kong Island. Then travel on to Wong Tai Sin Temple, a large and very active Taoist Temple dedicated to the god worshipped both by the sick and those trying to avoid illness. Late, travel out to Yau Mai Tai to visit the various Street Markets. Start with the Jade Market and stop by the Tin Hau Temple as well as visiting the Flower and Bird Markets. Kowloon buzzes 24 hours a day, has great shopping whether for designer goods or great value clothes, excellent restaurants and also good nightlife. |

The New Territories
Leave the bustle of Hong Kong behind by visiting the New Territories and experiencing a more rural Hong Kong. A visit is made to the Che Kung Temple which was first established by the villagers of Tin Sam more than 100 years ago. You then travel on to Tsang Tai Uk, a traditional Hakka village built about 130 years ago by a prosperous stonemason. Tsang Tai Uk is made up of four long rows of village houses with three circular entrances and a big courtyard at the front. Right at the centre of the village is an ancestral hall which also serves as a meeting place for the 300 villagers who are living inside the fortified village. Also fascinating are Tai Po with its excellent temple and traditional market along with the Hong Kong Heritage Museum which has a traditional Chinese courtyard design, Chinese-style roofs and long corridors that link all the exhibition galleries. The 12 galleries house permanent and temporary exhibitions covering history, arts and culture. The beaches of the Sai Kung Peninsula are delightful and unspoilt. |
Cheung Chau Island
Wanting something quieter - start your Island Retreat Tour to Cheung Chau Island, a small island, which is ideal for walking and soaking up the traditional atmosphere. On arrival in Cheung Chau you will walk along the promenade and visit the Pak Tai Temple. Built more than two centuries ago, the temple is dedicated to the Taoist god of the sea, the "Supreme Emperor of the Dark Heaven". Stroll along Pak She Street and San Hing Street past rebuilt blocks and modern shops and you will see people still practicing traditional trades — baking lotus-seed cakes, dispensing herbal medicine or manufacturing and selling Cheung Chau's famed, pungent, purplish-brown shrimp paste. On the eastern side, only a few minutes' walk across the island from the ferry pier is Tung Wan, a popular public beach. Inland from Tung Wan, the colourful Kwan Kung Pavilion is a gilded, lacquered temple dedicated to Kwan Tai, the Taoist God of War and Righteousness. |
 |
| We can also offer visits to Lantau and Lamma Islands which are both excellent choices. Lantau Island is also home to the small Hong Kong Disneyland theme park. |

Walk, Swim & Sail
For the more energetic, let us suggest a 2 to 3 hours trek in one of Hong Kong's pretties country parks and which is largely downhill though for the more adventurous Sharp's Peak can also be included which makes the morning a good work-out. The path passes through a couple of small villages and the reward is the beach at Tai Long Wan which is only accessible either by foot or boat. Tai Long Wan is often deserted and awaiting your arrival is a 'Junk', a traditional Chinese sailing boat which after some time on the beach will cruise you back into Hong Kong's harbour for your return to the hotel. A fully catered lunch can be offered on board the junk. |
An Evening at the Races
Happy Valley is Hong Kong's oldest horse racing venue and was established on a reclaimed swamp with the first race being held here in late 1846. On most Wednesday evening's you will experience the fever-pitch atmosphere and the excitement along with tens of thousands of other racing fans as the horses come pounding around the corner heading down the home stretch! You have entry to the visitor's box from where you have an excellent view of the home stretch. Dinner and transfers would be included. |
