Day 1
Arrive Guilin and transfer to your chosen Hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2 (B/L)
An early start for what will be the highlight of your visit to Guilin - a cruise down the Li River. A thirty-minute drive takes you to the pier from where you board the boat. Immediately as you set sail the scenery is imposing and over the next few hours you will be stunned by what nature can produce. Many of the hills and cliffs have names supposedly evocative of what they resemble though at times you may need some imagination! A simple lunch is served onboard. On arrival in Yangshuo you will have time to either wander round its small streets and browse in its numerous shops and stalls or sit back in one of its many cafes and watch the world pass you by. On the return to Guilin you will make a stop at DragonBridge for some lovely countryside views.
Day 3 (B/L)
This morning visit the delightful and very traditional village ofDa Zu (translated as Big Market) where life has gone relatively unchanged for decades and which established itself on the back of the trading fortunes of the Ling Canal system. Thereafter enjoy a scenic morning tour of Guilin City. The scenery is dominated by the limestone hills that appear everywhere. Visits will be arranged to a couple of the hills and you will have the opportunity to climb to the top for great scenic views. You will then visit the Reed Flute Caves, which have a wonderful collection of stalagmites and stalactites. The caves are beautifully illuminated. After visiting the caves, the rest of the day is at leisure until your transfer to the Airport for your onward flight.
